The much awaited long rains (known as masika) have finally arrived in Kilimanjaro Region.
And when it rains, it pours!
Farmer Idrisa, who manages Shabaha Farm, our new sustainable food project, is counting his blessings. He is very conscious that a poor harvest will reduce the number of orphaned children and vulnerable young people he can feed this year.
But it seems like he’s made a good start!
