Khumus is a religious tax, which holds particular significance to Twelver Shia Muslims. It is valued at 20% of all savings and unused assets after the completion of 1 lunar year, on which no previous khumus has been deducted. Khumus is divided into 2 equal parts: Sahm Imam and Sahm Sadat.
We do not collect khumus funds directly. Khumus funds MUST be paid via our partner Hasnain Foundation, who allocate the funds to Kijana Kwanza on a project basis, with a particular focus on vocational training and apprenticeships.
