The story of 6-year-old Ally, from Njoro Ward of Moshi Town, who was unable to go to school because it was too difficult to use crutches on unkept roads, inspired our impromptu Wheelchair Appeal in April 2021.
Images and video clips of Ally before and after receiving a wheelchair via our Emergency Fund were forwarded on WhatsApp groups and across social media, raising enough money to provide wheelchairs for 30 disabled children and young people in Moshi and nearby Arusha.
